Lotus Heart follows the Portland Public School calendar for holidays and breaks. These closures are already factored into the tuition schedule.

We are a school year program with additional summer camp offerings. 

*The 2024 school year will begin Tuesday, September 3rd.

We belong to the Vermont Hills Community Garden where we maintain a garden plot and explore the garden grounds. We visit the garden weekly during the fall and spring growing seasons.

Spanish and American Sign Language are incorporated into our day through story and song and routine.  We are not a bilingual school but rather provide an introduction for the understanding that there are many languages in our world and ways to communicate.

Lotus Heart Preschool is an open hearted, open minded, loving space and does not discriminate.

Yoga and creative movement are part of our daily rhythm. 

We have formal classes from  Yoga Playgrounds twice monthly (www.yogaplaygrounds.com), as well as informal practice and music and movement during our circle times. 

We play at Pendleton Park every day, rain or shine. Children come prepared with rain gear and dry changes of clothes for daily connection with nature and the elements.
