Elemental Earth Camp 🌱🌹🌻🌿
~ 2025 Summer Camp ~
An exploration of the elements and all that we are part of on our Earth and in Space~
Camp 1: Fire: the Sun - our heart - fire for cooking and warmth - fire as electricity
Camp 2: Earth: animals - plants - crystals & rocks - our bones - minerals to mountains
Camp 3: Air: wind - breath - our lungs - smell - movement and dance
Camp 4: Water: states of water & water cycle - water habitats (ocean, river...)
- our inner waters ( blood, sweat, tears!)
- water & emotion
Camp 5: Space: planets and galaxies - the space inside us- magnetic fields - star maps & constellations
Camp 6 : The Moon: moon phases - moon journals - planting/planning by the moon - dreams
Camp 7: Backyard Medicine: food as medicine - backyard foraging; eat your weeds! - herbal medicine making - mindfulness & meditation
Themes are fun! But also fluid and will depend on our group dynamics and age range, the weather, etc as to how involved we will get! I suggest you pick your weeks based on schedule rather than theme as they will all have a similar rhythm and topics overlap and build on one another :)

Q: What are summer preschool hours?
A: 9am-1pm. Drop off begins at 9am on the porch. Pick up happens at 1pm on the porch- though often in the summer you may find us scrambling back to school from the park or garden!
Q: Can I choose my schedule or do I sign up for the whole week?
A: Camps are all 5 days, other than July 4th week which is Mon-Thurs.
If you are looking for less days/week we can most likely pair you with another part time family, though not guaranteed.
Q: Do I send food?
A: Yes please pack a healthy, filling lunch. We will eat our meal around 11am in the middle of our morning.
Many of our camps will be out at the garden or park for much of the day, so please remember any utensils etc that may be needed. *Please also make sure your child has a full water bottle each day that is easy for them to carry.
Q: Can my child's preschool age friend attend though not already enrolled at Lotus Heart?
A: Yes! They just need to contact me and fill out an enrollment form, all are welcome!
Q: What about Sunscreen?
A: If you wish for your child to wear sunscreen please apply to your child BEFORE camp. We will be outside a lot, but we mainly play in the
shady spaces of the park and garden, so they will not be out in the
sun all morning.
Sun hats are a great option too!
Q: What sandals are allowed?
A: Comfortable or sport sandals are fine, but flip flops are NOT recommended- it can be difficult to walk all the way to the garden, and bark chips and thorns can go right through the foam bottoms!
Camps are $180 for 5 days/wk or $144 for July 4th week
If you would like to enroll for summer, simply email me with your chosen weeks. I will email you back to confirm and send you an invoice. If camp is full I will let you know of your waitlist status,
For withdrawal from a camp after June 1, 50% tuition will be due. Cancelation 7 days or less before the week of camp arrives, 100% of tuition will be due, regardless of attendance. * If another family on the waitlist can take your spot tuition will be waived.
If you are a new family, please also fill out all enrollment forms found on the enrollment page and current families page
* Camps will be open for enrollment until they fill and then I will keep a wait list and alert wait list families as soon as a spot opens up.
